Certified Scales
R.W. McCollum Company provides access to the public the use of our certified axle scales. Our Fairbanks-Morse manufactured scales use a Weigh-Tronix digital register for pinpoint accuracy. Our scales are certified by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and are calibrated bi-annually by J.A. King & Company to ensure accurate measurements. A modest charge of $7 for a full tractor & trailer (3 readings) or $6 for a truck (2 readings) is all that is required to give our customers the piece of mind that they are maximizing their payloads, all the while staying within the limits of the law. With several certified “weighmasters” on staff, there is no appointment necessary. Hours of operation for our scales are 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday.
